North Korea claimed on Monday that it has performed its first-ever nuclear weapons test.

"The nuclear test is a historic event that brought happiness to the (sic) our military and people. It will contribute to maintaining peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and surrounding region," KCNA said.

Heh heh heh. What was that last bit again? Didn't sound quite right...

'South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun has convened a meeting of security advisers over the issue...'

Waitaminnit...you were just talking about 'maintaining peace', right? Or did I hear you wrong? Oh I get it now - the security advisers meeting to plan how to threaten to make war, so that peace can be maintained...

"Meanwhile, South Korea's intelligence agency has detected a 3.58-magnitude seismic tremor, a foreign ministry spokesman said on Monday, following North Korea's announcement of a nuclear test..."

Ah yes, the aforementioned 'stability in the peninsula and surrounding region', no doubt.

Ha ha ha!
LMAO.

"However, US intelligence has said that they cannot confirm whether N Korea has conducted a nuclear test"

ROTFL!
????????????????
You have GOT to be kidding me...
ROTFL!

From where you left a message on my blog:

@ non-sensei : No actually. It is about my intellectual guffawing at other people's intellectual fencing, which in itself is guffaw-worthy. Hence the sanskrit title which means 'i'm an idiot' (well more like 'A fool, I am', but Yoda wasn't around when they invented sanskrit)
